Bubbo provides general information about maintaining a sourdough starter and baking bread. It is not food-safety advice, medical advice, or professional guidance of any kind, and using it creates no relationship of professional reliance.

Fermentation varies with flour, water, temperature, humidity, altitude, equipment and handling. The app cannot observe any of those. Its guidance is general and may not be right for your situation.

You are responsible for judging whether anything you make is safe to eat. If a starter or dough looks, smells or behaves in a way that concerns you, discard it. A starter costs a spoonful of flour to replace.

Troubleshooting entries link their sources so you can read them and decide for yourself. Some sources disagree with each other, and some entries deliberately disagree with widely repeated advice.

Citations are not endorsements. The organisations cited have no association with Bubbo.

The app schedules local notifications for feeding reminders and baking timers. Whether they arrive, and when, depends on your device, its operating system, battery and focus settings, and permissions you control. They may be delayed, silenced, or not delivered at all.

Do not rely on the app as your only timer for anything where a missed alert matters — particularly anything involving a hot oven. It is a convenience, not a safety mechanism.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any information in it is accurate, complete or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Andrii Lysenko nor OLAI is liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app — including spoiled ingredients, ruined bakes, missed timers, or illness resulting from consuming anything prepared with reference to the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of liability for personal injury or death, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Because there is no server and no backup, your data is yours to lose: deleting the app, resetting your device, or using “Start over” erases it permanently, and it cannot be recovered.

You may use the app on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not resell it, or copy, redistribute or reverse-engineer it except where that restriction is unenforceable under applicable law.

Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to copies obtained through the App Store. Where these terms conflict with Apple’s minimum terms, Apple’s prevail.

Illustrations, text, and the Bubbo name and creature remain the property of Andrii Lysenko.

The app is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children. It is meant for use in a kitchen — an environment where children should be supervised by an adult regardless of what any app says.

These terms may change. The revised version will be published here with the date above updated. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
